May 2015 Kloverbox Unboxing
Kloverbox is an all natural monthly beauty subscription box. It costs $25 a month and typically contains a few full sized products, a snack and a couple of samples. Here we go…
First up is the Preserve – The Triple Razor System and Eco-armour shaving foam. The razor system is very nice and I was going to buy a new one, before this arrived. So I am extra excited about this shaver. The card describes it as an entirely recyclable product once you are finished using it. So along with making our legs look sexy, it is also “earth” friendly. I received the mint and eucalyptus shave cream. I actually already have this same brand and scent from another sub box. And unfortunately, I wasn’t very impressed with it. It’s pretty runny and I like my shave cream to have some consistency. Plus, I just don’t use shave cream often. The sample size I have, has been in my shower for probably close to six months. So this wasn’t a “win” for me. The value of the razor system is $8.50 and the value of the shave cream is $12.
Next is Delizioso Skin Care Blushing Mousse in full size. This smells so good I want to eat it. It smells like a very good piece of candy. And it’s a really cool product too. According to the card, you can use it on your lips, cheeks, even your eyes. It’s a very pretty pink color that would be lovely for spring or summer. The value is $30.
Next on our list is Eco-armour mango butter lip balm. This is the same brand as the shave lotion. I’m always thrilled to get lip balm in my subscription boxes as I’m addicted to the stuff. I probably have three or four different tubes open right now. This is valued at about $6.
Last, but definitely not least, is the FOOD. I like that Kloverbox typically gives you a healthy snack. This one is called Pure- Ancient Grains Bar. My flavor is Triple Berry Nut Bar. I already ate it. It was pretty good, very moist and fruity flavored. I would probably not buy this again though. The value is $2.19.
I wasn’t as happy with my May box as my April box. However, it was very nicely curated and I will give it a THREE OUT OF FIVE STARS. I really liked the uniqueness of the razor system and the shave cream. You don’t typically get those types of products in a subscription box. I also like that each box comes with a hand written little message. It just says “Thank You Melissa” but it is just a very nice touch. I signed up for three months, so I will receive one more box for June and then I am ending my subscription. It’s not that I didn’t like Kloverbox, but $25 a month is pretty steep. Speaking of money, this box is valued (I rounded up) at around $59 so more than twice the value.
