April 2015 Kloverbox Unboxing
Kloverbox is a monthly, all natural, beauty and lifestyle box. It costs $25 a month and Behind the Box paid for this subscription.
The outside is just a plain white box, but it’s what’s on the inside, that makes this box so AMAZING! There are five products inside, most of which are full size.
There is also a card in the box detailing each product, giving you information about it and it’s value. What’s really cool about Kloverbox, is that there’s also discounts for all the companies featured in the box. The info card gives you codes and website addresses. So, if you buy from the various companies, you receive a discount of anywhere from 15%-30% off. It’s a nice little extra. So let’s open up the pretty green tissue and find out what’s inside.
First up is this full size bottle of foaming hand soap from kosmatology. I don’t think I have ever received hand soap in a subscription box and I LOVE IT!!! The scent is spearmint rosemary and it smells divine. Also, it’s made with organic, all natural ingredients. According to the information card, these soaps are made the old fashioned way using the highest quality organic oils like coconut, olive and safflower. I can’t wait to try out this soap!!! It’s valued at $8.99.
Up next is this candle from Bridge Nine Candle Company. I don’t get many candles in subscription boxes, but when I do I am so stoked! This candle is in the flavor of citrus and it too smells excellent. According to the card, the candle should burn for 20 hours. It’s 4 ounces and valued at $9.
Here’s the next item in the box…and again it’s another unique one! This is Real Beauty for A Cause Coffee Scrub. Real Beauty is a natural skincare company that donates 25% of every purchase to a charity. The card states that the scrub will give your skin a refreshing jolt. Caffeine is cellulite’s number one enemy and when applied religiously, according to the info card, it can reduce the appearance of cellulite. The product smells and looks like grounded coffee. According to the container, the ingredients include coffee, himalayan sea salt, avocado oil and cinnamon essential oil. It’s two ounces and valued at $7.50. I can’t wait to try it out and give you guys a review.
This is the BEST, NEATEST, COOLEST, MOST CLEVER product I have ever received in a subscription box…and I have received a lot of subscription boxes. At first, I wasn’t sure what it was. Turns out, this is a FULL SIZE lotion bar. The name is Old Orchard – No. 10 Baobab Lotion Bar. Isn’t it adorable? It’s a beautiful flower design with a citrus smell to it. I am not familiar with lotion bars and this will be the first one I try, but according to the card it nourishes your hands and body with mango, shea, baobab and rosehip. Since, I’m not familiar with this type of product, I decided to check out how it works online. What I found, in a quick google search, is that lotion bars are activated by body heat and can be used anywhere on your body. It’s best to warm up the bar in your hands…which will melt a small portion of the bar. Then, rub the lotion on the area you would like moisturized. It’s such a lovely bar I don’t want to use it, but I’m super pumped to try it out and let you know what I think about it. This product is valued at $28.
As I’m sure you noticed in the photo…my treat bag is empty! That’s because I already ate it and it was AWESOME! It’s Rani’s Yummy Shooters. My flavor was called Chocolate Yum and it was yummy to my tummy! This product is 100% natural so it’s a healthy snack and the best part is you can pack it in your purse and take it with you. I don’t know about you guys, but I sometimes get bored of the same snacks…apple, cheese stick, nuts…those are usually my go to’s. So, this is definitely a snack I will buy again because it’s something different. It is 150 calories, 7 grams of fat, 20 grams of carbs and 2 grams of fiber. Also, there are 9 grams of sugar in it. For my fellow Weight Watcher friends, one shooter has about 4 points which is equivalent to a serving size of nuts. So again, it’s a nice alternative to the same old, same old snack. The packet is valued at $1.99. There is a 30% discount included on the info card, so I plan to stock up on these.
SUMMARY — FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS!!! This box was perfect! It is $25 a month, which is a bit pricey for a subscription box, but you can sign up for a couple months to treat yourself. The experience is worth it because it feels like a well thought out, put together gift. Plus, the value is $55.50 which is twice the amount of the box. It’s definitely made my top five best boxes ever. I am the most excited to try the lotion bar, but really, all the products in the April 2015 Kloverbox are awesome. What do you think of this subscription box? Is it worth the money?
