March 2015 BoxyCharm Unboxing
Hello beauties! Today I’m looking at Boxycharm. It’s a monthly beauty box subscription. With this box, you typically get full size items from makeup to skincare to hair care. It is at the top of my favorites list for sub boxes. This box is $21 a month and behindtheboxblog.com pays for this subscription.
On this post, I’ll do a show and tell of what’s inside the March 2015 Boxycharm box. Then, I will later review the products for you. So, make sure to subscribe to my blog so you know when your favorite product is being reviewed.
This is what the outside and inside of Boxycharm looks like. I really like the design and clean packaging. On the inside, there is pink packing paper and an information card. What I like about this info card is it gives you the value of the product whether it’s full or travel size. Plus it gives you the company website information as well if you would like to buy more of the product. Here’s what is inside…
Oscar Blandi Hairspray is first on the list. By the card’s information, it appears subscribers got various Oscar Blandi products. Mine happened to be the hairspray. I’m out of mini hairspray bottles, so this will go right in my purse. It’s got a lovely, clean scent and I’m a fan of this brand so I’m happy with this sample. It’s valued at $11.
Second, is OFRA eyeliner which is a full size. I have so many eyeliners I don’t know where to go with all of them. So I am going to put this in a giveaway box. It’s described as a water resistant pencil and is suitable for most sensitive eyes. It’s made with synthetic beeswax and is supposed to be soft and long-lasting. On birchbox.com, which is another subscription box website, out of more than 3,000 reviews it got four out of five stars. So this appears to be a popular product. The ladies are saying it goes on smooth and blends well. The value is $13.
Another full sized product is this LVX nail polish. My color is Mynt and it’s gorgeous. This brand is vegan and cruelty free….hooray for the animals! I’m going to be using this polish tonight. I’ll let you know what I thought of it in a later review. It’s value is $16.
Yay for tarte products and coupons! So this is the tarte LipSurgance lip tint in Charmed. It’s a full size and also comes with a 20% off coupon on purchases between 4-1-15 and 4-10-15. The code is BOXYAPRIL. You must go to the tarte.com website to redeem the coupon value. The value of this full size product is $24.
And finally, we save the best for last. Previse Nutrify Universal Tonic. The description card says this stuff is free of parabens, silicones and skin clogging petroleum ingredients. It’s supposed to hydrate skin and speed healing while fighting free radicals and surface irritants. I imagine it works somewhat like a toner. But because I was curious, I had to do my research on this product to find out more and to read what other bloggers are saying. Initial reviews look favorable. Ladies are saying they use it after cleansing their faces and notice that it helps in breakout prevention and makes the skin more clear and soft. Here was one comment I read, “…a significant reduction in age spots and freckles as well as reduced puffiness.” As far as the routine goes for this, it appears women are washing their faces, putting on this tonic, then their moisturizer. Most all reviews on this product are positive and I can’t wait to try it. I will make sure to take before and after photos to see if we can notice a dramatic difference.
CONCLUSION — FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS
This would have been the full five stars for me if it wasn’t for the eyeliner. I’m really over getting eyeliners in sub boxes. However, a black liner can always come in handy. Boxycharm is usually a hit for me. It’s one of those boxes that gives you a pretty good variety of products and types of products to try. I’m probably the most pumped about the tonic as I have a few problem areas that don’t seem to go away and I will be interested to see what happens with this product. I paid $21 for this box and the value is at $112. Wowsy, Wows, Wowsers! Can’t beat that! 😉
